The Christian Super Successor Fund Transfer (SFT) to Australian Ethical Super completed on 25 November 2022. Christian Super members were transferred into Australian Ethical Super on this date, and the Christian Super fund has been closed.
Paying SG
The new Australian Ethical Super EmployerAccess portal is available here. The way you use the portal remains the same. You can continue to use this portal to pay former Christian Super members as well as any new employees/members.
It’s important that before paying your next contribution you update the Fund name and ABN for all former Christian Super members to Australian Ethical Super’s details below. Otherwise your superannuation payment may be delayed or rejected by your payroll system or clearinghouse. Please note the USI remains the same for these members.

Unexpected new accounts
Please note: If the USI for new members (AET0100AU) is inadvertently used to pay SG for an existing member, a new account will be created for your employee.
This account will have a new member number and a nil balance. If this occurs, please assure your employee that their old account is still active and will be available and rest assured, we are currently remediating these members and will be in touch with them once their account is resolved.
Important: Please update the default Super fund details in your payroll system
From 1 November 2022, Christian Super stopped accepting new members. This means that employers who currently have Christian Super as their default super fund will no longer be able to create new Christian Super accounts for new employees. To ensure that your employee onboarding processes are not affected, please update the default fund details in your payroll system with the Australian Ethical Super details below.
New default fund details
Fund ABN: 49 633 667 743
Fund name: Australian Ethical Retail Superannuation Fund
SPIN/USI: AET0100AU
Fund address: Locked Bag 20013, Melbourne VIC 3001
Please note: The USI for existing employees who use Christian Super does not need to be changed.
The EmployerAccess portal will be temporarily unavailable during the transfer.
- From 6pm AEST Thursday 24 November EmployerAccess will be unavailable
- From Saturday 26 November the new-look Australian Ethical Super EmployerAccess portal will be available
Please note: A limited services period will be in place from 17 November to 19 December 2022 while we finalise accounts and transfer all member entitlements to Australian Ethical Super. Any employer contributions received during this period will be processed when full services resume.
New members of Australian Ethical Super are not currently provided with default income protection. However, members can apply for this cover once they are set up in the member portal. Existing Christian Super members who have insurance through their Christian Super account will have this transferred into Australian Ethical Super.
New member accounts cannot be created under the CHR0001AU USI. You will therefore receive an error message from SuperStream. If this occurs, please refer to the table above and use the information in the righthand column to create the new member.
If using SCH Online via the EmployerAccess portal you will not be able to add a new member using the incorrect USI as this will not display.
Yes. However when using SCH Online the new employee must be created via a file upload, not manually, as the USI CHR001AU won’t appear in the fund list. Please contact us if you need assistance with this step.
If this happens, a validation message will appear and you will not be able to submit the file until you select a valid USI. For new employees the correct USI is: AET0100AU
