Every year, we donate 10% of profits (after tax and before bonus) to the Australian Ethical Foundation to unearth and fund high impact charities driving solutions addressing climate change.

Our 10% difference

Since 2000, we’ve donated over $11 million, driving positive outcomes for people, animals and the planet in Australia and overseas. Our aim is to support effective and high impact climate and nature projects and solutions.

Grant winners

In 2023, the Foundation distributed grants through two funding streams – Visionary Grants and Strategic Grants. We are currently reviewing the Foundation strategy and the Visionary Grants program will not be run in 2024.

Our approach

The core focus of The Foundation’s work is to fight climate change as effectively as possible. We do this by applying effective altruism principles to help inform part of climate philanthropy strategic giving.

The Australian Ethical Foundation is a registered charity.

Australian Ethical acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the country on which we work, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, and recognise and celebrate their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and thank them for protecting Country since time immemorial.
