Resignation of Chief Investment Officer

Australian Ethical Investment Ltd today announced that Mr Martin Halloran, the Chief Investment Officer, has resigned to take up a senior position within the Australian Public Service. His resignation is effective 30 June 2010.

Mr Phillip Vernon, Chief Executive of Australian Ethical said ‘whilst we are disappointed with Martin’s decision, this is a good career opportunity for him consistent with studies he has been pursuing in international politics and we wish him well for his future.’

‘In his time with Australian Ethical Martin has made significant achievements with regard the depth and quality of our investment team, processes and tools and we would like to thank him for his contributions’, Mr Vernon said.

Mr James Jordan, currently Head of Research will take up the role as Acting Chief Investment Officer whilst the organisation assesses its options for the leadership of the investment team moving forward. ‘ Australian Ethical has a strong and experienced team of portfolio managers and investment analysts which will ensure a smooth transition to the new leadership when that is decided’, Mr Vernon said.
